Auld Lang Syne

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne ?

CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup o?kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

And surely youl buy your pint cup !
And surely Il buy mine !
And we'll take a cup o?kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

CHORUS

We two have run about the slopes,
and picked the daisies fine ;
But wee wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS

We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS

And there a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o?thine !
And wel take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.

Hard work..

Hard work does have its rewards.... right?

I hope it pays off soon....

After two months I am still asking the question - will I really fit in or the question is ... do I really belong here? why is it so hard to find some traction?

Work-place politics is really interesting - there's really nothing quite like it. Being a by-stander and watching the action is like watching a football match, full of highs, lows and drama. Fortunately I don't have to worry and deal with them myself (yet)- but hey it's good practice and a good time to think of what to do in case I come with these situations in the future.

Trip to Melbourne Today..

woke up at 4am this morning and got driven by my dad to T2

flown to melbourne for interview with jetstar, fortunately the staff there are quite friendly

also had the chance to walk around melbourne for the first time in 7 years. Also not to mention I got to travel on Jetstar and a Low Cost Carrier finally, and i finally flew domestic australian sectors for the first time in 15 years (last time it was on Qantas in 92' and it was an extension leg of an international service)

bought myself a cap and wristbands from Melbourne, shouldve bought the big Wilson tennis ball too!

Now regretting a bit that I didn't stay behind for one night. I couldve watched the tennis!!

Haven't posted in xanga for ages (almost a year) - I think I have almost given up on this whole thing, but I thought I'd post here again, perhaps once in a while in the future..

Here's a look back on 2006:

January: Qantas Work Experience / Spent 3 exhausting days at Sydney T3 for 'research' / Grandpa passed away

February: Travelled back to HK for funeral,

March / April: Start of Yr 3 of uni / mainly to do with university study?

May: Grandma (mum's side) passed away

June: Fishing with Michelle's family

July: Mid-year break? - Tennis?

August: Uncle's family came over - sightseeing at Blue Mountains / Won the UNSW Aviation Scholarship Prize!

September: Graduation Ceremony of Belle, Camy and Kevin + going out dinner

October: Lots of Assignments Due / End of Year Party 2006 + Karaoke @ GreenBox Plus + Mahjong overnight?

November: Exams / 21st Birthday + cutting of the cake at the UNSW Aviation Department Office (wonderful memory and thx to those who were there)

December: Post-exam break and holiday / job search / keeping fit (tennis) / going out / New Years Eve spent at Vaucluse (watched fireworks)

I wonder if I have missed anything here... this year has gone by so quickly - perhaps too quickly! It still feels very much like 2006!

I'll remember the year 2006 as a year of both highs and lows. Looking forward to better things in 2007!
